Department of Archaeology

Biography

I am an archaeologist specialising in digital methodologies and landscape studies. After graduating from the University of Sydney in 2017 and working in commercial archaeology in Australia, I moved to the Netherlands where I completed a MSc in Archaeological Sciences from Leiden University. There I worked on creating a field-to-lab workflow for a 3D GIS database based around photogrammetry and SQL. I have worked on a myriad of projects around the Aegean running photogrammetry, GIS, 3D GIS, and database systems, particularly for projects on the islands of Kos (the Kos Archaeological Survey Project) and Keros (the Keros Project).

I am currently a research assistant in technical GIS for the TIGR2SS project.

Research

My research has focused on Network Analysis, spatial and landscape studies, as well as 3D modelling, database systems, and GIS. I am also interested in the applications of VR for educational purposes. I am most interested in the interaction between ancient societies with their environments, especially in prehistory. I have worked in heritage Australia, Aegean prehistory, and am currently working in South Asia.
